Yes, a great drive! From Nanton, head west on the 533. Where the 533 turns south, continue west on the "Williams Coulee Road". It would be interesting to know how, geologically, this coulee came to be as it appears to be cut directly through a plateau from one end to the other. Regardless, it's a very picturesque coulee. Muirhead School is further west along the road, along with another school which I can only guess is called Braehead (I haven't been able to confirm this... yet). When you get to highway 22, take it south 5 kms then turn west again on highway 532. The road heads straight into the mountains, gaining 800m of elevation, peaking at a pass called "the hump". The hump is a great place to hike, provided it's not too windy, with incredible views of the prairies to the east. There's a ranger station on a nearby ridge called Hailstone Butte that makes an excellent hiking destination with even better views.

My mother and uncles went to this school in 1915-1925. Still in good shape, open as a community type centre.
