This year when travelling around, keep an eye out for round barns, or stone barns. I was told in Sask, those were very very rare so there are probably one a few left.

yes! I was chatting with a guy from Saskatchewan Heritage Foundation and he said there inventory on these is kind of old, and that there was only a handful of known ones left.
I've never even noticed these before except for the photos uploaded here.

The one at Drinkwater is quite unique... but it needs some serious work on the east side of the roof... but was a cool find while on the way down to Estevan... I also saw the Bell Barn at Indian Head... and was there ONE DAY before it officially opened.... argh... but plant to go there next summer!

I was going to mention the Bell barn at Indian head but you beat me to it. I had a crop insurance calendar from a few years back with round barn pictures on it if I could just find it.

The round barn in Drinkwater is still in operation but the owner said they are not thinking about the rehabilitation or repair of the damaged roof. The condition of that barn is not good anymore.
